FLAX Vibration damping material

 

FLAX is a shock-absorbing material made from natural flax fibers, sold by a French manufacturer. FLAX preserves the primary vibrations while dampening unwanted vibrations.

It reduces the strain on the elbow and wrist, helping to prevent fatigue. Recently, FLAX has also been incorporated into the 3/9 o'clock areas of the Babolat Pure Aero racquet.

Those seeking a relatively affordable and easy installation option.

Those who want to add it to their racquet without making significant changes.

Those who prefer a lightweight option, as it only weighs 2g and won’t significantly affect the racquet’s specifications.

 

Installation Method

  1. Remove the replacement grip to expose the polyurethane layer.

  2. Attach one piece of the FLAX material to the smooth (front) side and one to the rough (back) side, sandwiching the polyurethane in between.

  3. Wrap the original grip back over the FLAX material, and you're done!
